Original Painting - Azure Path Merging Forest (2022)

This long canvas is inspired by imagery found in a forest near Capilano in North Vancouver, BC. As the eye travels through the composition, one finds fiddlehead, ferns, rocks, and a meandering path that symbolizes knowing one's way. This artwork is in my Nature’s Cathedral series. Forests of towering tree canopies feel like cathedral interiors with their upward expanding space, ornate filigree, and sun kissed stained glass.
